Rahul from Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaLovely capture Yvone, this is really nice. Love it. :) 3 May 2007 6:48am @Manuela Photography: It was breeding season so they were with many. Hermanus in know as a good spot to see them right on the coast. You don't have to go on a boat trip at all but you do need a telelens to make decent photos. Anne from White Rock, CanadaWonderful shot of Whales jumping around and playing! They are a wonderful sight to see! We have them on our coast and some pods live in the inlets. I need to go where I can see them when they are migrating, so many of them to be seen and photographed. I haven't done that yet! Thank you so much for your comments and visits to my blog - I can't always get around to everyone of you, but your visits are appreciated. 3 May 2007 8:26am @Anne: Every opportunity I have (on holiday) to see whales I take (and sometimes with unacceptable risks) because these animals amaze me so much. These were taken from the shore, but days before we did a boat trip in another area. The sea was too rough, so no pictures and too much risks to take during pregnancy. I was lucky that nothing happened. Go and see them and be amazed yourself! Stu from Kyoto, JapanWow, I love shots like this! I saw some whales when I was in NZ a couple of years ago and was deeply moved by the experience. You're so lucky have seen this Yvon. A really great shot. 3 May 2007 10:11am Sarah from Gainesville, United Statesvery cool shot! You're lucky to have seen this! 3 May 2007 11:07am Duncan Galbraith from Kyoto, Japanwhat a capture. I wish I could shoot sights like this. Many thanks for sharing this one Yvon! 3 May 2007 11:57am Rene from Kitchener-Waterloo, CanadaI went whale watching a couple of years ago in British Columbia, seen some nice Beluga's but nothing quite like this ... lucky you. 4 May 2007 4:23am Damon Schreiber from Toronto, CanadaHey there! Sorry I'm so late in commenting on the last of the water series - I seem to have gotten caught up in the cosmic order of events. Wonderful capture here. Whales really are massive aren't they! 17 May 2007 3:48am |
