Oostvaardersplassen #1

Posted by Yvon (Meerkerk, Netherlands) on 18 March 2007 in Animal & Insect.

This is a series with photos of the biggest natural conservation areas in the Netherlands. It’s pretty unique because it is one of the biggest swamp area’s in western Europe. It has several endangered animals and plants. For conservation they brought in several animals in the area like Koniks horses, dear and cows. We even have breeding Osprey’s in the area and that’s unique for Holland. Last year I went on a small trip with one of the rangers to see all the big animals.
Hope you enjoy this series as much as I enjoyed the making of it.
